2SLGBTQI+ Inclusion

Many 2SLGBTQI+ youth have experienced violence and bullying, leading them to avoid school and develop low personal and academic self-esteem.  Canada’s polytechnics are actively working to ensure 2SLGBTQI+ students, faculty and staff know they are welcome and embraced on campus.

Positive Space Kwantlen

The Positive Space Working group at Kwantlen Polytechnic University organizes training sessions for the campus community, giving students, faculty, staff and campus visitors a better understanding of issues related to homophobia, biphobia, transphobia, cissexism and heterosexism.  An important element of this effort is to identify resources at KPU and the surrounding communities.  Sharing knowledge is an essential part of KPU’s efforts to improve its policies, communication and support services.  Learn more about Positive Space Kwantlen
